Radiation Protection Gloves
Five series of sterile radiation protection gloves. Each pairs an attenuation compound — lead oxide, bismuth oxide or tungsten — with a glove polymer, so you can specify shielding, tactility and material compatibility independently.
| Series | Attenuation compound | Glove polymer | Latex‑free | Types | Pb equivalence @ 80 kVp |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| RX ↓ | Lead oxide | Dry natural rubber | Essentially NRL‑protein free* | Light · Medium · Heavy | 0.05 – 0.07 mm Pb |
| PX ↓ | Bismuth oxide | Polyisoprene | Yes | Light · Medium | 0.05 – 0.06 mm Pb |
| BX ↓ | Bismuth oxide | Natural rubber latex | No | Light · Medium | 0.04 – 0.05 mm Pb |
| WX ↓ | Tungsten | Polyisoprene | Yes | Light · Medium | 0.05 – 0.06 mm Pb |
| LX ↓ | Lead oxide | Polyisoprene | Yes | Light · Medium | 0.04 – 0.05 mm Pb |
* RX gloves are made from Dry Natural Rubber (DNR) and are essentially free from the protein allergy problem associated with natural rubber latex (Yip E et al., J Nat Rubber Res, 1994).
Leaded · Dry Natural Rubber
RXL (Light) · RX1 (Medium) · RX2 (Heavy)
The benchmark of the range. RX gloves are made from Dry Natural Rubber and lead oxide, offering the highest attenuation in the RFB portfolio across three protection levels — so operators can trade tactility against shielding procedure by procedure. DNR construction keeps them essentially free from the protein allergy problem associated with natural rubber latex.

Lead‑Free · Polyisoprene
PXL (Light) · PX1 (Medium)
The double‑free option: bismuth oxide attenuation in a synthetic polyisoprene glove. Polyisoprene carries none of the proteins or allergy risks of natural rubber while delivering an advanced level of comfort, fit and flexibility — ideal where both lead and latex must be designed out.

Lead‑Free · Latex
BXL (Light) · BX1 (Medium)
BX gloves replace lead with bismuth oxide — a more environment‑friendly attenuation material — in a natural rubber latex glove. Two protection levels balance shielding with the tactile feel latex users expect. Powder‑free and chlorinated for easy dry or damp donning.

Tungsten · Polyisoprene
WXL (Light) · WX1 (Medium)
The newest chemistry in the range. WX gloves use tungsten — a high‑density, environment‑friendly attenuation material — in the same latex‑free polyisoprene platform as PX, for teams that want lead‑free shielding with a modern metallurgy.

Leaded · Polyisoprene
LXL (Light) · LX1 (Medium)
Leaded protection without latex. LX gloves combine lead oxide attenuation with a synthetic polyisoprene film — the advanced comfort, fit and flexibility of PI, for latex‑sensitive teams that still specify a leaded glove.
